RULES AND POLICIES 2017-2018
Tuition is due by the 1st of every month.
NO REGISTRATION FEE!!
½ hour classes:
Semester $85 ( 5% discount included)
Year $160 (10% discount included)
1 hour classes:
Semester $128 ( 5% discount included)
Year $240 (10% discount included)
Reminders will be posted at the studio when payment is approaching. Billing statements will not be sent out to parents unless your account is past due. You have 5 business days from the 1st of every month to get your payment into the studio or your account will be charged $10 and your child will be asked to sit out during his/her class. This policy will be strictly enforced.
Payments can be made by Cash, Check (please note that there will be a $25.00 fee for all returned checks) Credit Card Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Am Express (Please note that there will be a $2.50 surcharge for all credit card payments)
Little Movers to 2nd grade $50 per class
3rd grade and up $60 per class
All costume fees are due by November 5th no exceptions. We take measurements and order all costumes at this time to ensure that we have them for the recital.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR TUITIOM, COSTUME FEES OR ANY COMPETITION FEES!
Hair must be pulled up and out of child's face
Pink or tan tights
Leotard or tight fitting top
Ballet skirt or boy shorts
Pink ballet shoes
Black tap shoes
Tan jazz shoes (if you have black ones that you want to wear to classes you may, but tan ones will need to be purchased before the recital)
NO SWEATPANTS OR BAGGY CLOTHING

Attendance is crucial in the progress of the class and the dancer. Dancers are allowed to miss no more than 3 classes per semester, regardless of the reason for the absence. Anyone missing more than this amount will be subject to dismissal from class. Students must consider their after school activities before making a commitment to dance. There are no makeup lessons or prorated tuition for missed classes.
There is a no observer policy for all classes.
No gum, candy, soda, or disposable cups in the dance floor area. Covered water bottles are accepted!
No negative comments about your fellow dancers, dance teachers or other dancers ever. No alcohol, smoking, drugs or sending anyone inappropriate pictures. No negative posts on social media. No social media references to drugs, alcohol, smoking or sexual activities by any dancer allowed. You represent The Dance Company in and out of the studio.
There is absolutely no bullying! This includes all negative references to other dancers, posting pictures of other dancers with out permission, excluding teammates purposely, physical or verbal aggression etc. This also includes all forms or written correspondence, phone messages, texting and all forms of social media. Parents are also included in this.
In the event of bad weather cancellations will be announced thru our text messaging system, email, posted on our website, http://downtowndanceco.wix.com/downtowndanceco and also posted on our Facebook page. If we are able to schedule a makeup class we will do so. But we are not required to makeup every canceled class.
